Growth
Commercial Growth
Growth as an operating discipline, not an aspiration in a plan.
The challenge
What we usually find
- Revenue growth has slowed and the reasons are contested.
- Sales, marketing, product and operations describe the customer differently.
- The business is scaling faster than its commercial capability.
What good looks like
Where organisations want to get to
- A clear proposition, a defined route to market and a repeatable commercial engine.
- Commercial leaders who manage pipeline, margin and capability with equal rigour.
- Growth that the organisation can sustain operationally.
In practice
Helping businesses grow without outgrowing themselves
Growth changes a business. The way customers are won, decisions are made and responsibilities are shared when a company is relatively small does not always work as revenue, people and complexity increase. Founders and senior leaders can find themselves carrying too much, while sales, marketing, operations and the wider organisation begin to develop at different speeds.
We work with owners, founders and leadership teams to understand what is really constraining growth and what the business needs to do next. Sometimes the answer sits in the proposition, sales performance or route to market; elsewhere it is commercial leadership, organisational capability or the way roles and responsibilities have evolved as the business has grown. We are interested in growth that can be sustained, which means looking beyond the immediate revenue opportunity at whether the organisation being built is capable of supporting it.
As businesses grow, the informal ways of managing people that worked when the organisation was smaller can become harder to sustain. Where that becomes part of the growth challenge, Calibrate Technology can provide the people-management infrastructure to define expectations, develop capability and maintain greater consistency as the organisation scales.
